Biography

Having worked in the private sector for over 30 years, Denise has broad management experience from a range of disciplines including Business Development, Operations, Quality, Human Resource Management, Global Vendor Management and Management Consulting. In 2011, she was awarded a first class honours Masters in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management. She completed a self-funded PhD in 2015 on Talent retention post M&A  "an interpretive study of talent's pull-to-stay post-acquisition, a multiple case study".

Denise is the Programme Director of the MSc in International Management at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics, University of Galway. Her research interests are Talent and Talent Management and the modules she teaches include: Human Resource Management, International Human Resource Management and Digital Business & People Analytics.

She holds a PostGrad Cert in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education (2018), is an associate member of CIPD and holds certification in Levels A & B+ Intermediate Psychometric Testing.

New MSc Management and Sustainability

Tailored education for future sustainability leaders. This new programme shapes students with a blend of management and sustainability knowledge. It prepares graduates to guide organisations on their journey towards more sustainable business practices and responsible management. MSc Management and Sustainability
