LaunchLab, led by Dr Srinivasan Raghavendran of economics at NUI Galway and powered by Blackstone Launchpad, hosts a series of laboratories aimed to enable the aspiring student entrepreneurs to advance their skills in various domains. Launchlab opens with two labs a FinTech lab and a Social simulation lab.

These labs will run training programs to enable students to develop core set of skills in advanced analytics and simulation techniques. These programs are open to advanced undergraduate students (3rd/4th yea, postgraduate students and researchers (PhD and postdoc) from any discipline.

The opening event will take place in G010 Moore Institute Seminar Room in the Hardiman Building NUI Galway followed by a reception in Blackstone LaunchPad on 5pm Monday the 27th of February 2017. 

 Speakers at the event include:

• David Roche - Director of Financial Services, Pramerica
• David Murphy - Director of Technology Transfer NUI Galway (formerly Fidelity)
• Laurentiu Vasilliu - CEO of Peracton
• Aneta Dobrowolska -  and Entrepreneur (formerly Team Lead, JP Morgan)

A reception for the event will take place in the LaunchPad on the concourse from 6.00pm
