The Economics of Cancer Research Group at NUI Galway will be broadcasting a free online Webinar today (Wednesday 14th May 2013) at 3.00pm in the SAC Meeting Room
Dr Otis Brawley, Chief Medical Officer of the American Cancer Society, Professor of Hematology, Oncology, Medicine and Epidemiology at Emery University, and medical consultant for CNN, will speak on a number of topics related to cancer research including the economic burden of cancer in the US, disparities in health and the future of cancer research. Dr Brawley has published over 100 academic papers and is the author of the highly acclaimed book, "How we do harm: A doctor breaks ranks about being sick in America".
